Jinska smoothed her new robes as she critically appraised her stitching. Satisfied she had done a good job, she returned to studying herself in the mirror. The troll looking back at her seemed to bear little resemblance to the one that had arrived several moons ago looking to return Mordaver his things. She seemed to carry herself straighter, with more confidence, and there was an increased presence about her. She raised her hand and watched as a ball of fire sprang up, crackling round it. Even now she marvelled how it caused no pain to her, but was deadly to others she chose to hurl it at. Her power had indeed grown immeasurably. Indeed, she had already matched Mordaver for power, and felt that she might soon pass him. She wondered at that, that the apprentice would soon overtake the master.
She snorted an good natured laugh. Having started off doing Mordy a favour or two with his tasks, she had soon seen to all his duties. She did not think he would be stirring from his comfy coffin unless there was a very good reason. Now of course, she had duties of her own.

She looked again at her reflection. It was her eyes that were most different. Eyes that had been full of wonder at seeing the world after leaving Sen’jin. She still marvelled at the wondrous sights and creatures she discovered in the course of her travels, but there was an experience there too, a wisdom even. She nodded to herself, she felt as if she had grown up a great deal.

Certainly there was still much to learn, both in her arcane studies, and life in general. She coloured again at the conversation she had had with Miss Kunikiko the night before concerning males and their schemes. She was considered attractive by many, and took good care of her appearance. She had fun chatting and teasing males. She wrinkled her nose; even some silly humans had seemed to eye her appreciatively.

She had no idea they were so devious though! After what Kunikiko had told her she suspiciously eyed any males, trying to spot any Goldenbark apples they might be hiding behind their backs, ready to present them to her when she was looking hungry. She was astounded that it meant they wanted to marry you, and if she accepted…to think she might so easily have fallen into that trap!

She wondered what else she didn’t know. Probably a whole heap of stuff. But at least there were ones she could ask about such things. Indeed, she knew she could count on each and every one of the Umbrals in all manner of things. They were like a family of sorts. She felt at home.

She found herself nodding at the reflection. She had definitely come to the right place.

'Ow about b'nanas, Miss Kuni? W'at does dey mean?

Bregdark: Ah, yes, the infamous Troll love apples. Indeed. Raels can speak to her own experiences with these, yes.

Raels: Ah love apples.

Not to be confused with love flash powder.

Jinska padded over the baking rocks of Durotar towards Sen’jin. She had not stopped since receiving her 40th season training from Miss Deino in Orgrimmar, so excited was she to return home again and tell everyone of her wonderful adventures. Sen’jin was also the best place to buy one of the thoroughbred raptors she had earned as a result.
As she ran she remembered the times when she would sit and watch in awe as the adventuring trolls would come to buy their mounts, parading their well earned status for the village, who would always join in wishing them well. Now it was her turn; it barely seemed possible.

No more running everywhere, she reflected. She had always been fairly athletic, but she knew she had certainly grown leaner in the course of her travels, covering many miles on foot. She remembered the last time she was here, scrambling over the blistering rock in search of scorpid tails. The scorpids had made a beeline for her at every opportunity, evidently viewing her as easy pickings. Not any longer, now they seemed to avoid her as if somehow sensing she was not the troll they had come to know and terrorise in her early adventuring days. She also remembered how she would never stand still for too long on the hot rock, the scorching heat easily burning her feet through her flimsy shoes. Now she barely noticed the heat through the comfortable boots she herself had made. She had come a long way indeed.

She could hear the drums already, and her heart leapt as Sen’jin came into view. She grinned in anticipation of the party that would no doubt be thrown for her homecoming.
